NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub announces NY THRIVE Innovation Vouchers – a development tool designed to power semiconductor innovation across Upstate New York
New York State is taking bold steps to lead the future of semiconductor manufacturing and research through the NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub—a federally and state-funded initiative designed to grow the semiconductor ecosystem, strengthen supply chains, fuel innovation, and create high-quality jobs across the upstate region. At the center of this exciting opportunity is NY THRIVE—Tech Hub Resources & Innovation Vouchers for Enterprises—a flexible grant program that helps semiconductor-related companies access world-class research assets, equipment, facilities, and expertise through a network of top-tier universities and partners. Applications are open now and accepted on a rolling basis.
Administered by the Collaboration and Commercialization Center (C3)—a regional partnership led by Syracuse University, Cornell, RIT, University of Rochester, and University at Buffalo—the NY THRIVE program helps companies tap into the region’s most advanced semiconductor innovation resources. With NY THRIVE, eligible companies can apply for innovation vouchers to help cover the cost of using research facilities, labs, equipment, and expertise to support product development, prototyping, testing, and commercialization efforts. The aim is to further advance the semiconductor industry within the NY SMART I-Corridor and deliver positive economic impacts to the area. Vouchers are available across 3-tiers of projects:
- $50,000 or less
- $51,000 to $250,000
- Over $250,000
